Costco patrons have been fervently requesting for the comeback of a cherished food court smoothie that got omitted from the menu just several months ago, but now their prayers are answered.
Yes, you read right! Costco's Fruit Smoothie has just started reappearing in its US-based food courts. Numerous members have recently noticed this all-time favorite item getting reinstated at their neighboring warehouses.
Just to give you some context about the much-loved Fruit Smoothie - often referred to as "berry smoothie" by many members - it's a concoction comprising strawberry, blueberry and acai. It was earlier an indispensable part of Costco's food court fare; however, it had been momentarily off-menu since early summer so as to accommodate a new Mango Smoothie exclusive previously only available in Hawaii.

While a section of people genuinely favored mango-flavored variety, other consumers were found criticizing it robustly on Reddit citing inferior taste and texture when compared with the commendable Fruit variation. Some even drew comparisons between its consistency with "baby food".
Now that we know the original fruit version is back officially and fans couldn't be happier about it. An abundance excitement erupted amongst patrons when one shopper shared on Reddit an image of the reinstated smoothie priced at $2.99.
One ardent aficionado commented on Reddit, "Joy has returned to my life!” Another patron humorously added, "Glad to see it's back. It's been a berry long time."
Speculations are rife that with Fruit Smoothie coming back in circulation, Mango Smoothie might possibly be facing discontinuation as was deduced from an image posted by a Redditor showing it missing from menu. Costco is yet to confirm or deny this.
Some shoppers point out that all Costcos across United States haven't included the fruit variant yet indicating staggered rollout across warehouses; hence members should personally verify with their nearest store.
Costco's food court had quite an eventful year apart from return of its signature fruit drink — there was reintroduction of diced onions (a top choice for hotdogs) and Chicken Caesar Salad coupled with launch of new strawberry-flavored ice cream which garnered fast popularity.
